GUEST SPEAKER

Our July speaker was White-Brunner, Director of the DFW USO. She described the activities of the USO, related several stories about their work, and described the tremendous impact they make on military members coming and going through DFW airport. The base was proud to present a check for $400.00 as well as an additional $245.00 in individual member donations to support their ongoing efforts.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

  • Treasurer's Report: Charlie Cloud reviewed a complete report for the June balance, recent income, 50/50, stores, and dues. He and others also provided an update on additional funds for the USO.

  • Membership: Because of his time spent on convention planning Marv Koch was unable to contact potential members in May before the June meeting to invite them to our meeting. If you have a possible contact, or if you have some time to support Marv while he works on the convention, please contact Marv with that information and he can provide membership packets.

  • Storekeeper: Mel Polen gave a report on the store and informed the base of several items that are available. There are quite a few t-shirts left from a previous order. If you have inquired about these items in the past, now is the time to get with Mel and make a purchase. Remember that personal items must be prepaid
