This was a double meeting. The first meeting that was called to order at 10:33am was for the Dallas Base to conduct the election of 2010 base officers as directed by our Dallas Base Bylaws. This was followed by the combined meeting with Cowtown Base which was called to order at 12 noon

The November meeting of the USSVI-Dallas Base was called to order at The Oasis Restaurant at Joe Pool Lake November 7, 2009 by Dallas Base Commander, Wayne Standerfer at 10:33 AM.

Present were the following members and guests:

Members: Ken Ballard, Bill Bozarth, Jerry Bringle, Charlie Cloud, Tim Davis, Peter Filidoro, Moody Forgey, Eddie Griffith, James Harrelson, James Kennedy, Robert La Bonte, James Lucas, Don McClane, Tom McCutcheon, Stan Miller, Jeff Morris, Mel Polen, Leonard Reneau, Michael Snyder, Wayne Standerfer, Don Thieme, Leonard Tunnell Robert Wigman, Fred Williams and Roy Wippert.

Guests:  Donna Forgey, Patti McClane, Jean McCutcheon, Sue Morris, Joe Pack and Andy Green

The Invocation was given by: Charlie Cloud.

The Pledge of Allegiance, the Submariner’s Creed and the tolling of the bell for Boats on Eternal Patrol will be conduct during the combined Dallas and Cowtown Base meeting to follow.

November Birthdays:

·         Gary Cook, Robert Harvey, Ron Jansen, John Reynolds, and Bruce Taylor.

December Birthdays:

·         Joel Battle, Carl Byler, Charlie Cloud, Walt Eller, John Goodwin, Francis Landrum, Don McClane, Tony Whitley and Gavin Wolff

 Committee Reports:

·         Treasurer’s Report: Charlie Cloud presented the Treasurer’s report for October. The report was approved as presented.

·         Secretary: Peter Filidoro read the minutes of the October meeting. The minutes were approved as presented.

  Old Business:

·    Christmas Party will be Sunday December 6^th, 1 to 5 PM at Lawry’s Prime Rib Dallas. Members need to RSVP by Saturday     November 27^th.

 New Business

·    Annual Dues: Members need to pay their annual dues by December 15th the Base has to submit them to National by December 31st. Anyone whose dues are not paid by then will be dropped from the rolls.

•  January meeting was moved to the second Saturday of the month, January 9th, 2010, due to the first Saturday being the day after New Years Day.

•  2010 Base Officer Election: The candidates for 2010 are the present Base Offices, in their respective positions. The Base Commander asked for nominations, of addition candidates from the floor, none where made. A motion was made, seconded and approved to elect by acclamation the slate of Candidates running. The 2010 Base Officers are: Base Commander, Wayne Standerfer; Vice Commander, Stan Miller; Treasurer, Charlie Cloud; Secretary, Peter Filidoro.

 Good of the Order

·         The scheduled combined meeting of the Dallas and Cowtown Bases, hosted by the Cowtown Base will follow at 12:00 PM
